A closer look at Symbol Font Selector

Symbol Selector has the same basic concept as Character Map (provided with Windows) but it only displays the installed symbol fonts on your system. It adds the ability to view these fonts at larger sizes (Character Map's font size is just too small!), plus you can easily copy individual characters to the Windows Clipboard in your choice of Rich Text Format (RTF) or in Windows Metafile (WMF) format.

Once the symbol is on the Windows Clipboard, you can easily paste it into any open Windows document. Copying the characters in WMF format lets you use them in any graphics program that supports WMF graphics.
