In depth
A closer look at FreeCell 2000
With the exception of an added toolbar and a status bar, the interface and cards look about the same. But click around a while and you'll discover several cool features not present in the Microsoft version. You get two million starting positions; unlimited undo, redo, undo all, and redo all; a scoreboard with scores, top scores, and statistics; a recent list for incomplete and finished games; and a general and global games history. You also get to replay a played game forward and backward; save incomplete and finished games separately; autosave games with a date and time stamp; and add, organize, and play games using a Favorites function. Plenty of options are available as well, such as changing the appearance of the game table and adjusting animation speed.
