is a card game especially popular in southern Germany and in western Austria.
Other names for the game are 31, Knacks, and Hosen runter (meaning "pants down"). Variations played in the USA and in the UK are called "Scat" and "Ride the Bus". The rules, the scoring, and the playing mechanisms of these variations are somewhat different from their European sisters. Whereas up to 11 players can participate in "real life" when using a deck of 36 cards, there are four players in the computer version, namely a human player represented by you, and three virtual opponents. < P> The game consists of playing several hands where each player is dealt three cards. The objective is to improve the hand by exchanging cards with a pool of three faceup cards in order to obtain a final hand whose value is not the lowest among all players. The player with the lowest hand loses one of initially three coins. A player who has lost all of their coins and a further hand drops out of the game. The game continues until all but one player remains, who then wins the pot (kitty).
