is a version of the traditional Chinese game of tiles, Mah Jongg, played against three computer opponents.
Mah Jong was introduced in America and Europe early in the 20th century and is now popular all over the world. Four Winds lets you select your opponents from four different types of players: Beginner, Defensive, Expert and Limitmaker. Since the game is played all over the world, there are several varieties of the rules and scoring. Four Winds includes eight pre-defined rule presets, which cover the basic variations (e.g., Japanese Riichi, American traditional, Hong Kong Mah Jong and European contemporary). In addition, any pre-defined rule preset can be customized and saved as a user-defined rule preset.
Four Winds includes a comprehensive help file, explaining all the rules and discussing the playing strategies.
