A closer look at Ultragammon
You and your opponent move in opposite directions around a circular board. You have two moves per turn, and each dice is one move. If you roll doubles, you get another turn. Pieces cannot land on any square where an opponent has a piece placed. Whenever you stack three pieces onto a square, this square then becomes your "base" and remains yours even if you move away. Whenever you land on any of your bases you automatically score one point and if you land on your opponent's bases he scores one point. If you place three pieces on an opponent's base it becomes your base. The first player to score 40 points wins the game.
