While there are many Tools available to Optimize your PC, few target the Applications on the PC, which is surprising considering that the number and complexity of the Applications installed, is rapidly increasing to meet extra functionality required by Users.. AppsChecker, which is available in two versions, it targeted at this area. It is designed to a) Present the User with full details of the Files, IniFiles, Registry Entries that are installed on the PC for the Application. b) Identify any differences between what should and what is actually installed (or used (PRO) )so it is easy to debug application problems. The FREEWARE version reads the MSI, that installed the Application, to define what files etc, should be on the PC. The PRO version adds the following functions a) Enhanced checking of files etc (including DLL registration) b) Functions to detect and correct conflicts between Applications and revert Modifications. c) Detect and document the Full Software Environment(files etc) used when an Application is being run and hence debug Applications which are not working on a particular PC. Calls Sysinternals Procmon Monitor to seamlessly monitor the Applications execution. d) Capture details of changes made to files etc between two points i.e. during an Applications installation or execution. e) Use c and d above to generate an Applications file list etc for reporting purposes when there is no MSI available f) Functions to identify the level of access authority needed to run an Application and check where a particular User does not have the required level. g) AppsChecker is designed to support many PCs. The PRO version can be installed (and Licensed) on USB Hard Disks or Server Shares, mounted on a PC (or Virtual PC) and run without having to installation on the PC. AppsChecker is intended for use by anyone who is comfortable installing/removing applications on/from a PC.
