Mammals of Namibia -German Edition

The intent of this book is to enable the traveller to identify the larger and more commonly encountered wild mammals in Namibia easily and to provide interesting information on each of them. Extremely rare mammals, small rodents and insectivorous bats have not been included as they are seldom seen or difficult to identify in the field. This book is a field guide and includes a " notes" section. When you come back from your game drives, you can update and save your notes. You can also edit them again later if you want to add more notes. A check list is included in the in the back. Print out your checklist for when you go out on drives. You may also print all, or a selection of pages from the book. "Notes" of your own observations. We suggest you date and compare your sightings on successive visits. Test your knowledge on mammals and answer the wildlife questions .You can then view your correct answers on the answer sheet. We truly hope that not only will this jog memories of your safari to Africa long after you have returned home, but that by making as much use as possible of the book, your visit to Botswana will be a more interesting and worthwhile experience. In line with the modern conservation concept of sustainable utilisation (ie if wildlife does not pay its own way, it will be replaced by something that does) we have invited the tourism industry - the prime sustainable utiliser of wildlife - to participate in this book.
