Media Convert Master is a simple-to-use program that allows you to turn audio and video files into AVI, MP4, 3GP, MPG, MOV, WMV, RM, SWF, MP3, WAV and other types.The interface of the application is plain and simple to navigate through. Media files can be imported into the file queue by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method. It is possible to encode multiple items at the same time.The list lets you find out the source path of each item. If you are satisfied with the default settings, then you can directly proceed with the encoding task by specifying the output profile and directory.Experienced users can tinker with the audio and video properties when it comes to the quality, codec, volume level, frame rate, aspect ratio, size, sample rate, bit rate, cropping and padding. Settings can be saved to a new profile but they cannot be restored to default.Additionally, you can split clips by marking the start and end time values or position, preview videos in a small, built-in media player, as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire file queue. During the encoding procedure, you can set Media Convert Master to automatically turn off the computer or to open the output directory when it finishes.The media conversion program requires a moderate amount of system resources to complete a task in reasonable time. It has a good response time, includes a help file and delivers a fair image and sound quality. We haven't come across any issues during our tests. Unfortunately, you cannot merge videos, set Media Convert Master to run in the background or specify the thread priority.
