is a 3D combat action game set in the distant future in which you operate an advanced remotely piloted vehicle.
Using advanced combat tactics and customizable vehicles, Gunmetal combines the best aspects of both combat simulations and 3D shooters.
Gunmetal is set in the far future, where teleport gates have opened humankind up to the stars. Anyone can travel from one place to another instantly, even over hundreds of light-years, simply by stepping through a Gate.
As the game begins, you are a new tank pilot for the Nataka Corporation's Imperial Armored Cavalry. A Nataka installation is suddenly attacked by forces from Network 53, a long-standing ally. No explanation is given and a full-scale war erupts.
Soon Network 53 are successfully attacking other companies as well. As the war rages they are extinguishing all human life wherever they can find it.
The game features a dynamic vehicle design that lets you select the chassis, armor, and over 25 weapons and vehicle systems including cannons, lasers, meson guns, proximity mines, and a realistic nuke. It also includes smart AI, with enemies that use tactics normally employed only by human opponents (e.g. they look for cover, dodge shots, and taunt and identify each other as friend-or-foe).
