A closer look at Absolute Terror

Absolute Terror finds you piloting the first prototype Katana class ship, designed to strike back at the colonial forces. As well as being extremely capable in straight combat, the Katana-01 features a unique drive system that enables it to rearrange molecules at an atomic level, and therefore construct structures and devices based on atomic "template" files stored in the ship's computer. This allows you to deploy a range of offensive and defensive equipment to secure key areas of the combat zone to assist in attacking the enemy.

You can choose either to fight the enemy yourself, or to deploy automatic weapon systems to do the job for you. You have access to two of the Katana's arsenal of "deployables" - an automatic laser cannon and a repair pad. The laser cannon will fire at any enemy ship that comes close, while the repair pad can be used to repair the Katana simply by hovering over the top of it. You are assisted by your copilot, Natsuki, who provides information on missions and equipment, along with helpful advice.
