axsStrongBox

axsStrongBox is a COM component which provides secure data encryption (public and private key), digital signatures, hashing, compression and binary encoding. This is all included in a single component with a simple pipeline programming model. The component implements several of the most popular and well respected strong encryption algorithms, including the current AES standard Rijndael (private key), and RSA (public key), together with a number of other algorithms.. It supports most modes and variants of each algorithm, for compatibility with other systems. To ensure data integrity and authenticity, it offers a number of hashing algortithms (uncluding SHA1 and SHA2), and digital signature functionality (RSA signing). Data can be exchanged with the component using files, strings, or data buffers. For convenience, axsStrongBox supports data compression prior to encryption, which is ideal for encrypting text based formats such as XML. It also supports binary encoding (including Base64 coding) of the encrypted data to ensure compatibility with text only channels. As a standard COM component, axsStrongBox is compatible with Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, and any other COM compliant development environment. It is VBA compatible, so it can be used in MS Office developments. It can also be used in an ASP environment for web server applications.
