is an animated, interactive spelling tutor for children.
It uses Microsoft Agents, who speak directly to your children, calling them by name. Ahsha is a fully animated character with sound effects. His lips move when he speaks, he speaks in his own voice, and he creates a colorful environment for your child to learn.
A child's weekly spelling words can be stored in an unlimited number of word libraries. The program has the ability to store thousands of words. Ahsha Spells comes with almost 80 words in 7 word libraries, which includes states, numbers, days of the week, months, and colors.
Ahsha keeps track of a child's score, and remembers all the words missed. Ahsha praises your child when a word is spelled correctly, encourages your child when a word is misspelled. Words may be typed in or entered using the mouse from the alphabet pad.
Once your child knows the spelling words, Ahsha can give a written test. Test sheets can be printed out and Ahsha speaks each word at a predefined timed interval. At the end of any test, Ahsha announces the test results. You can print out the test results for future reference. Test results can also be saved to a file that can be opened and printed out at a later time. On the test results sheets, the following information is recorded: the child's name, the date the test was taken, and the time of day it was taken. The results page also shows each word, with the indication whether or not the word was spelled correctly, incorrectly, or not at all.
