Messages can be sent to the following cellular phones (providers): Australia (TELSTRA and Vodafone); Belgium (MOBISTAR, PROXIMUS); France (BOUYGUES-TELECOM, ITINERIS, and SFR); Germany (D1 and E_PLUS); Italy (TIM); Netherlands (LIBERTEL); Spain (MOVISTAR); and the UK (Cellnet, One2One, Orange, and Vodafone); as well as the following pagers: France (AlphaPage, Kobby, TamTam, and Tatoo); and the UK (Hutchison).

SMS_E can be used with a network administration application, such as Open Master, OpenView, and Tivoli, enabling you to send alarms to the network administrator.

It can also use multiple modems for sending multiple messages at the same time, and includes event logging capability.
