For users who need to copy larger movies on standard DVD discs and the source size exceeds the target available space, DVD2one might be quite a handy tool.The application has been specifically designed to provide an innovative compression method and thus allow users to create a movie copy with just a single DVD.Furthermore, the developer assures that it all goes blazing fast because the application boasts support for multi-core processors, thus taking full advantage of superfast computers and their new generation hardware.The interface makes everything pretty easy to use because the user is prompted to choose from three different features, as it follows: make a full disc copy, including all menus and extras, make a movie only copy or join multiple movie titles and remaster an audio collection onto a DVD.After selecting the DVD source, the user has to deal with some settings, including encoding mode, bitrate, video stream, and the so-called Psycho-Acoustic Model.There's also a 'Settings' menu that comes with a bunch of options regarding the burning process (where you can change the maximum writing speed, the speed recorder, the DVD name, if you wish to modify the name of the source, and the output), the user interface, the audio remaster and the default subtitle selection.The application worked flawlessly during our test, but DVD2one is quite slow sometimes, although we agree that this also depends on the disc and the burner. It uses a reasonable amount of hardware resources, but you won't need a super fast computer to run this one.As a conclusion, DVD2one remains useful software that can help anyone when trying to deal with large movie files.
