Quivi : View your photos in a friendly environment and organize favorite folders to quickly access them with the help of this intuitive application
A vacation or special event most likely fills your camera or mobile phone with various pictures which inevitably end up on your computer. These can be viewed using your operating system's tools or with the help of applications such as Quivi, which let you enjoy and organize your picture collections.
View images and set as wallpaper
Running the application brings up the main window fitted with all available features stored in a simplistic design. A side panel lets you quickly navigate through directories on your computer and can be disabled at any time. The center area is dedicated to viewing your photos that can be mover around, enlarged, for better details, as well as rotated. Additionally, you are able to set the current picture as a wallpaper for your desktop, without having to open up any other window.
Organize frequently accessed image folders
An integrated function allows you to switch to a fullscreen view. However, there is no option to start a slideshow, so you just sit back and enjoy pictures as they scroll on your screen. With the help of hotkey support, you can create custom combination of keys for nearly everything the application has to offer.Furthermore, you can have entire folders saved as favorites, in order to quickly access them from a dedicated menu. Unfortunately, this only applies to directories, with no possibility for you to better handle files or create folders in the favorites manager.
In conclusion
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Quivi is a lightweight and straightforward application you can use to view images. It does not bring anything new on the block, leaving a little something to be desired after the first try. Lacking an advanced favorites manager and no editing options whatsoever, it can only be used as an alternative to what your operating system has to offer.
