Max2k Symbols : Select special characters and symbols from different font sets, save them in an editable text pad, and have them automatically sent to clipboard for easy pasting where needed
Just like handwriting differs from one individual to the other, so can computer text used in documents be unique, depending on the composition, and style of content. The keyboard is only fitted with so many buttons, and it can get frustrating to switch to a different font for a single symbol. Luckily, Max2k Symbols comes with a large palette of characters you can bundle in a text pad, copy, and insert where needed.
Visual design, and perks of portability
With no installation to take any of your time, the application is good to go from the moment downloading is done. As such, it can be easily carried around a thumb drive to use on both your work, and home computers. Registry entries remain intact during use, so there’s no need to worry about the target PC’s health status. All the application has to offer can be found in a simple interface, pretty much resembling the default Windows Character Map, thus making accommodation a walk in the park. Note that you’re only able to view Unicode characters if the Arial Unicode font is installed on your PC, otherwise, a placeholder is used for unsupported characters.
Multiple character selection, and automatic clipboard copy
The character font is easily selected from a dedicated drop-down menu. However, you don’t get to browse through all fonts installed on your computer, but rather through specialized sets which are only composed of unique symbols, usually hard to identify, or not commonly used. Sadly, there’s no tag to show the actual name of the character.A text pad stores every character you select from the table. The pad is editable, so you can interact, and add more characters using the keyboard. Furthermore, there’s the possibility to save multiple characters, or have them automatically sent to clipboard after every selection, unless you want to manually copy them.
A few last words
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Max2k Symbols is sure to come in handy if your work involves text editing, especially using uncommon characters. The set list is filtered so you don’t spend time going through all installed fonts, while the edit area can save multiple characters, and automatically send them to clipboard.
