IPConfig Manager : Graphical interface for the ipconfig command, which shows information about your network adapters, including DNS, DHCP and WINS details
IPConfig Manager represents a graphical interface for the ipconfig command, which shows network-related information about your adapters. This way, it can be accessed by users who are not accustomed to the console window.
View network-related data
The interface is user-friendly, made from a standard window that shows adapter and general information. This includes the name, GUID, type, MAC and IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DHCP and WINS details, along with lease obtained and acquired status of the selected network card.General info focuses on the host and domain name, node type, DNS, NetBIOS scope ID, IP routing and WINS proxy status, as well as whether or not NetBIOS resolution uses DNS. You can ask the tool to collect, display and flush DNS, gather compartment details, and refresh data. Unfortunately, there are no options implemented for copying info to the Clipboard, printing it, or exporting it to file.
No setup necessary
It's wrapped in a single .exe file that you can save anywhere on the disk or copy to a USB flash drive to directly launch it on any PC with as little effort as possible. It doesn't need DLLs or other components to run, create files on the disk without asking for permission, or add new entries to the system registry. UAC should be disabled before
Evaluation and conclusion
Although it hasn't been updated for a long time, it worked smoothly on newer Windows versions in our tests, remaining stable throughout its runtime. It didn't hang, crash or indicate errors. Plus, it didn't put a strain on the computer's performance, using low CPU and RAM.To sum it up, IPConfig Manager provides an approachable interface and options for those who want to learn more about their network adapters without having to resort to the ipconfig command.
