G-Checking : Add, sort and keep an eye on personal and work-related credit card payments or bank transfers, arrange them based on date or sender, make arithmetical calculations and export the database as a plain text file
G-Checking is a small and simple piece of software that comes in handy when you want to enter and manage your daily bills and transactions, along with payments related to work, like loans or collective costs.
Manage and sort your incomes and expenses
The program requires Java to be installed on the drive in order to start and not encounter any errors. The layout is outdated yet approachable, with the entries list and a simple toolbar that stacks quick commands to useful functions.
Fill in the date, entry type and amount
There is no option to create a private and secured account to keep the data away from prying eyes. The database can be saved to the computer in GCH file format and exported to a plain text document. To get started, all you have to do is create a new entry by inputting the category (deposit, credit card, debit), the date, sender and a short memo, as well as if the transaction is taxable and paid, and the amount of money you deposited or paid.
View the total budget and delete old data
It would've been a plus, if the app offered an option to make custom transaction groups, like education, health, bills or electronics to fully customize and sort the entries. You can search for specific records based on text, dollar amount or checksum. The total personal and bank balance is displayed at the top of the window. The utility comes with a basic built-in calculator to help do arithmetical operations, a tax summary and auto purge, which deletes all the stored data.
Approachable finance manager
To sum it up, G-Checking is an elementary application designed to offer a simple method to add and store personal and daily bank transactions and payments, as well as incomes from different sources, like transfers or incomes.
