KClick : Hear every button you press on the keyboard with a decent variety of sound effects to choose from for a cool and personal computer feel
You probably noticed that a smartphone is fitted with quite the variety of customization options, including audio effects for typing. These are not entirely dedicated to mobile devices, and you can find corresponding programs for computer use. In this regard, KClick can emit sound effects for every keyboard button your press.
Comes with a decent variety of sound effects
The application comes in a lightweight package, so you don’t have to go through a setup process to make it work. It can be put to good use from the moment download is done, and it’s also possible to store and carry it around on a thumb drive to have sound effects emitted, regardless of the computer you’re using. The interface is not something to make it stand out from the crowd, but it doesn’t mean you don’t easily understand how things are done. You get to choose from a variety of sound effects, and there’s also a test section in which you can write text strings. During runtime, the application can be minimized to the tray area.
No possibility to add custom effects
It contains up to five different sound effects, which are short enough to enable fluent playback, no matter how fast you type. Sound is emitted for every button on the keyboard, and you don’t necessarily have to be in a text editor for things to work.Unfortunately, the application comes with a fixed selection of sound effects, with no possibility to edit them or add your own. There’s no built-in option to make it run with Windows, but this can be bypassed by adding a shortcut to the system startup folder, so that effects are active from the moment you reach the desktop.
A few last words
All things considered, we can state that KClick might not come with some actual practicality, or help you increase productivity in the office. However, it can be the right tool in case you’re looking to make your computer really personal and custom.
