Overview

What is ZeroWave?

ZeroWave : A handy application that was meant to help you easily kill any stubborn processes that will not close otherwise onto your system

In depth

A closer look at ZeroWave

Managing running applications and the processes they open is usually quite easy to do, at least at a basic level, using the Task Manager that is built-in Windows. Sometimes, though, there are cases when some really pesky program just won't go away the nice way and will insist to keep the memory and processor occupied for no reason. If ending that task or the whole process tree is not possible, it's time to bring some reinforcements and enlist the help of a software solution like ZeroWave. Especially designed to terminate any kind of running process, this small tool is very easy to use and may yield surprisingly good results. The interface is quite plain, without any adornments, but it will get the job done and this is the main goal of ZeroWave. Inside the main window you will see all the processes that are currently loaded onto your system, as well as their process identifier (PID).All the action is one click away, that is to say you will be able to select one of the available operations by right-clicking any item on the list. The options you have are to stop the selected process normally, forcefully or you can use the ultimate weapon and go for the 'Insane Termination' mode. The first option should work well for normal, non-system processes, while the second alternative is best suited for applications that have crashed but are still hanging and refusing to close. The 'Forced Termination' also works very well for system processes. In case you find yourself in the situation where you have no other alternative than to use that dreaded 'Insane Termination' button, be advised that ZeroWave could crash and the whole system could go with it, as our tests revealed. All in all, this software solution puts up a good performance and will surely be of great help for many users, especially since it is suited novices as well.
