IconView Pro gets installed quickly since there are no special options involved in the setup operation. It's wrapped in a plain and simple interface, where you can get started by selecting a file, multiple files or a directory whose containing files you want to take into account for icon extraction.Once the selection is made, the target files are immediately scanned for icons, which you can check out in the main app window. Icons can be effortlessly extracted and saved to any directory with a new name and the .ico format. It's also possible to use the icon images and produce GIF, BMP, JPG, JPEG or PNG files.

The software application gives you the possibility to put together an icon library in .icl filetype, which can be populated with new, favorite icons with ease. As far as other options are concerned, you can select all items in the list or invert the current selection, remove entries or copy them to the clipboard, clear the list, or make the app stay on top of other windows.Even if it's an old and discontinued project, IconView Pro had no compatibility issues with Windows 10 in our tests. It scanned files and extracted icons rapidly while remaining light on system resources consumption.
