To solve this problem, there's toomanytabs. Thanks to this app you can open a window with just a click on the icon next to the address bar where you can see thumbnails of the tabs you have opened at that moment. This will make it much easier to select the tab to go to. To make it easier still, you can order the tabs according to name, website, or when you opened them. A very useful extension for people who normally keep many tabs open at the same time saving you lots of random clicking through your tabs.
