It's one of the features that we really miss in os x leopard's ability to change the background for each of the separate desktops. Then spacesuit allows you to do exactly that. 'spacesuit' is an application for your apple operating system which allows the placement of a different background image in each different space. In addition to the background image it's as easy as dragging and dropping a photo image file on the program icon in your docker. The existing image in a space will be removed by right clicking on the spacesuit icon and selecting 039remove image039 from the menu. From this same menu you can also adjust the image size to fit your screen, change the name of the space or browse your spaces.
