is a set of add-ins for Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) which convert "unreadable" selected text into readable text.
Microsoft Office tools can usually display text in the language in which it was written. However, some parts of a document can be unreadable, especially those from international respondents, which have localized versions of Microsoft Office. When this happens, you can convert the unreadable part into readable text using Charset Decoding which is inserted in the Tools Menu when you install the program.
In addition, you can also convert Internet messages and ASCII text.
Charset Decoding runs on
Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/Windows 10/11
and is available under the
Freeware
license
— the installer is 1 MB.
We’ve catalogued it under
