is a report filtering utility for Microsoft Access databases.
RFil provides a powerful and flexible method for filtering your reports. RFil is installed by importing a few objects into your database, and then running an automated setup procedure. There are no registry changes, and RFil does not alter your reports.
It contains two different techniques to filter reports. Custom Filtering uses dropdown lists for fields, expressions, and values. Query-Based Filtering uses standard Microsoft Access 97 queries for filtering reports.
Both techniques include options for creating, running, and managing filters. These include: a report dropdown list; saved filter dropdown list; options for managing query-filters; and print, preview, and count options for running filtered reports;
The Custom Filtering menu also features: four tab pages for filter criteria, each with six rows of field, expression, and value dropdown lists; fill values and auto expand checkboxes for better performance with filters; reset buttons for clearing criteria by row, tab, or all tabs; and a refresh SQL button and textbox for viewing the filter SQL string.
Query-Based report filtering also provides: a refresh filter list to refresh the list of query-filters for the report; a choice of running filtered or unfiltered reports; and the ability to view the documentation report of all query-filters in the database.
