The beyond compare program helps you to do this easily and efficiently. Use this tool to compare folders and files from different computers and detects the differences between the two in order to easily sync folders and files. In addition to comparing files on ftp the program supports filtering to perform very specific comparisons. Beyond compare also includes a very simple text editor that's perfect for modifying programming files without having to use other external applications. You can also customize flagged differences between the files with certain colors or by highlighting.
