A "picture" is an image of your Windows setup. It can include Windows registry sections, INI files, files, directories, shortcuts, etc. These items originate on one or more local or network drives. PictureTaker Enterprise Edition makes an image of each item, collects them all into one file, and stores the file in a compressed format. You can use the pictures to back up and restore a user's environment, duplicate the environment on another computer, or compare them with the current environment to find changes to a system.

A "change" file is a collection of Registry keys, INI file settings, files, directories, shortcuts, and sections of text from files such as autoexec.bat. You can use change files to find and fix Windows and application problems, move applications to different PCs, and much more.
