allows you to return your computer to an earlier point in time (checkpoint) when it was working to your satisfaction.
The program lets you create checkpoints, which are snapshots of your system at specific points in time. By default, it automatically creates a checkpoint once a day, Monday through Friday, but you can easily change this schedule to meet your needs, and create checkpoints manually at any time.
SecondChance runs in the background, automatically tracking any changes made on your system between checkpoints. It saves copies of files that are deleted or updated, and records changes to directories.
In addition, you can set limits on disk space usage, add and remove drives from any given checkpoint, exclude any directories, and create an emergency disk.
The program runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
