is an excellent file and archive manager which can replace Windows Explorer.
Unlike Explorer, Commander can display two file windows side by side. This makes it easier to manage files, especially when you need to drag and drop files between folders or drives. A handy drivebar at the top of the display makes it easy to view files and folders on any local or network drive.
Commander offers built-in support for archives, allowing you to easily work with ZIP, ARJ, LZH, TAR, RAR, UC2 and CAB files. The archives appear in Commander just like folders, making it a snap to work with compressed files. There is also built-in file encoding and decoding of UUE, XXE and MIME format files.
Other features of Commander include: a built-in FTP client; a customizable buttonbar for running commands or launching programs from; a drop-down menu from which to launch programs; the ability to compare files; directory synchronizing; and powerful searching functions (including full-text search and the ability to search inside archives).
