allows you to quickly assess the performance of your computer and compare it to a number of standard, baseline computer systems.
In depth
It includes over 20 individual tests which are divided between six test suites: tests of integer and floating point mathematical operations; tests of standard 2D graphical functions; disk file reading, writing, and seeking tests; memory allocation and access tests; and MMX compatibility tests within newer CPUs.
PassMark Performance Test also includes a test of the DirectX 3D graphics system; as well as several summary results, including the overall "PassMark Rating" result.
The comparison results are presented in easy to read bar charts. Dual CPU computers are supported.
