The program's "Disaster Recovery" function lets you recover your system from a single disk or tape. The graphical user interface, tape data format, command line script language, and scheduler enable easy migration between platforms.

PC-BaX supports a wide range of backup devices and media, including AIT, DAT, DLT, QIC, and SLR tape drives.

In addition, it features a virtual tape driver, which allows backup to hard disks, network drives, and removable disk drives such as Zip and Jaz.
