provides a platform for Visual Basic programmers who like to write their own tools.
The VBScriptBar add-in ties Microsoft's ScriptControl to the Visual Basic IDE. It can handle many Visual Basic programming tasks, such as inserting line numbers, error handling, indentation, extracting data for documentation, and forcing naming conventions for controls and variables.
VBScriptBar utilizes Visual Basic’s IDE as a script editor. A temporary module is inserted into an active Visual Basic project when editing starts and is removed when you are done. You can edit, add, or delete scripts in this temporary module. You can even check for syntax errors in the VBScript language. For each valid script a button on the VBScriptBar toolbar is displayed. Scripts are stored as plain text (VBScript code) in files with a VBS extension.
