Overview

What is DLL Explorer?

lets you list the Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files and other modules that the operating system is currently using.

In depth

A closer look at DLL Explorer

You can display the current state of the operating system with regards to its use of EXEs, DLLs, and OCXs. DLL Explorer lets you display the operating state before and after running a particular program. It can help you to see which 32-bit and 16-bit modules the program uses. It can also be used to confirm which files are actually being used by your application when you are ready to go to master.

In addition, you can compare two usage lists and display the differences between them. The resulting comparison list will show you any modules that have been added, modules that are no longer in use, and any increase or decrease in the number of times a module is utilized. The lists can be loaded and saved for future reference or printed.

Double-clicking on a file name lets you display detailed information on that module. This will also show the processes using that module or the module names that a process uses.
