A closer look at Secure
SECURE encodes your .EXE and .COM executable files and installs security checks into them. So when run, your files decode themselves and also check that they have not been altered at all. This makes them extremely difficult to crack. The self-checking routines also protect your files against accidental corruption. They can also detect if they have been infected by viruses. (Secure only works with DOS-based programs, not Windows).
