In depth
A closer look at Resource Explorer
Resource Explorer is a tool developed for programmers which allows them to view the contents of files of various formats, including EXE, DLL, SYS, OCX, SCR and AMC. The app is wrapped in a plain and uncomplicated interface where the features are pretty limited. Loading a file into the environment can be done by using only the file browser because the 'drag and drop' method is not supported. So, you can check out multiple resources of files, such as the content of the MUI, TYPELIB, UIFILE and WEVT_TEMPLATE folders, icons and versions. In the right pane you can check out the name, offset and size for each entry, or the hexadecimal code.
