A distinctive feature of ACDSee Classic is incremental display, whereby images are displayed on the fly as they are being decoded.

It is also an image browser that lets you find and organize image archives and sound clips, supporting more than 30 of the most popular image file formats, including BMP, EMF, GIF, JPG, PCD, PIC, PNG, TGA, TIF, and WMF.

The program also offers slideshow capabilities, support for GIF animation, as well as frequently used image manipulation tools, such as brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, crop, blur, sharpen, emboss, and rotation.

In addition, you can view, browse, and search within LZH and ZIP archives, as well as rename series of images and set selected images to wallpaper.
