In depth
A closer look at Deadlock: Planetary Conquest
Seven desperate species loom over the planet, Gallius IV, and are locked in a fierce struggle to conquer this precious world. One ion blast could destroy yet another world. Only a fragile treaty holds off the onslaught. Every race lands a colony on the planet below, each hoping to claim Gallius IV and end the vicious standoff. You must lead one of these colonies. Choose human or one of 6 alien species, each with unique strengths and weaknesses. Colonize the new planet, develop your resources to the fullest, mediate treaties with bizarre aliens, and develop powerful new technologies, and completely manage the growth of your space colony. Use the overhead 3-D planet map to keep a close eye on your adversaries. Zoom-in to see buildings, vehicles, and inhabitants in extraordinary detail. Consult with Oolan, who is always available for advice and wise council. Supports multi-player gameplay in real-time Internet, local area network, modem or e-mail.
