You can choose your team from a variety of unique soldiers (paratroopers, Germans, and secondary characters), each individually proficient in 13 different areas of combat. Each paratrooper is also unique in his abilities and personality.

The initiative-based phased action combines the detail of turn-based gaming with the ease-of-use aspects of real-time gaming engines. The game features historically accurate weapons and equipment, and accurate topography of the Normandy countryside.
