You can create four types of invoices: sales, services, credit, and estimate. You can set up the program to calculate both GST and PST, only PST, or no taxes on each type of invoice.
The program automatically tracks inventory quantities based on purchases and sales.
The program includes various accounting journals to record your transactions. The Sales Journal automatically records invoices, and lets you record hand-written invoices. The Cash Receipts Journal lets you record cash receipts, cash register tapes, bank credit memos, and any other A/R source document. The Purchases Journal lets you record invoices and credit invoices issued by your supplier. The Cash Payments Journal lets you record cheque copies from payments, bank debit memos, and any other A/P source documents. The General Journal lets you record any transactions that cannot be completed in any of the other journals, such as owner's drawings, miscellanous sales, etc. The program handles year ending adjustments to adjust inventory and operating costs (such as depreciation and prepaid expenses).
You can view and print general ledger reports, trial balances, income statements, and balance sheets.
The importing feature lets you import a standard Comma Separated Values (CSV) file into Business Management '99 that can be exported by Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel.
