Running an abundance of background programs can cause your game's performance to suffer, especially on older or lower specification machines. Game Launchpad closes unnecessary programs to recover lost resources before launching a game. It can also read program settings from Windows shortcuts, and lets you create game presets for "auto launching."

The program has a simple dialog-based interface and a built-in resource monitor. It features friendly and aggressive "kill" modes, and can even close processes that are not normally visible.
