While on a quest for gold a glory, the foolhardy Kain is ambushed and slain by a band of brigands. He awakens to a painful reality in the bowels of Hell. The Necromancer Mortanious offers him an opportunity for vengeance. Kain accepts without considering the cost.

Kain ventures from his crypt and soon discovers he has been reincarnated as a vampire. To free himself from the curse of vampirism, Kain must destroy all members of the Circle, and restore the Pillars of Nosgoth. As Kain, you must suck blood, slaughter a variety of enemies, use multiple weapons and armor power-ups, unleash an arsenal of deadly magic, solve puzzles, and more.
