TrafficMax includes e-mail and pager notification alarms, SNMP traps, user-defined thresholds, alarm options, and security alerts.
In addition, there are security alerts for unencrypted passwords, Ping (ICMP) attacks, and flood (TCP Sync) attacks. It also supports remote monitoring capabilities; it includes a Remote Traffic Agent.
General features consist of the use of any existing Ethernet, fast Ethernet or Token Ring NIC support, a graphical interface, an auto-discover tool for local PC hosts, the ability to analyze modem traffice, DNS querying to translate IP addresses to real site names, scheduled reporting with automatic e-mailing, and file exporting in HTML, TXT, JPG, and BMP formats.
