lets network administrators monitor in real-time the working connection of any HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and POP service.
Netobserver checks and displays if connections are accepted or not. When working with an HTTP service it can load Web pages and execute CGI programs.
The program will alert you by generating both sound and visual signals when a service failure is detected. Upon failure detection Netobserver can automatically send an e-mail message and fax, connect through RAS, and execute an application. When sending an e-mail or fax, the program will specify which service is not working properly. You are also given the option of specifying the number of failures to occur before notification.
Netobserver's log can be used to generate a service report. There is no limit to the number of IP addresses/services that you are able to control.
