Overview
What is Network Push Agent?
is a network administration tool designed to help you control end-user desktops, and push new versions of programs or data files to networked PCs.
In depth
A closer look at Network Push Agent
Network Push Agent ensures that each workstation displays the same Desktop icons each time a user logs into the network, regardless of whether they have added or deleted any icons during their previous session. You can select the level of "lock down" depending on your environment. Additionally, Network Push Agent allows you to create your own custom push setups for applications and data files. You can configure the push agent to compare a file on the network to one on the server and update it if the one on the server is newer. Similarly, when a new version of Network Push Agent is available, simply installing it on your Novell NetWare or Windows NT Server will automatically push it to all of your workstations.
