includes all the tools you need to create information models and to develop applications using information models.
The Meta Data Services Software Development Kit (SDK) is an enabling technology for defining and populating information models. It is used by software engineering and development tools to share information about engineered artifacts. Engineered artifacts include software components, manufactured components, databases, documents, maps, and Web pages.
This program includes the Model Development Kit (MDK), a development environment for information models. It uses Rational Rose as a graphical input tool to describe repository objects and relationship types. You can express your model in the form of repository classes, interfaces, properties, and relationships by using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The MDK takes the Rational Rose model as input, performs basic validations, and generates all necessary deliverables to develop and deploy the information model.
The SDK also includes sample application code and an information model installer to install generated models into meta data services databases.
