is a powerful, customizable file manager that handles compressed archives and includes a built-in FTP client.
With Probe, you can easily manage local files, networked files, archived files, and files on remote FTP servers. You can even browse shell objects such as the Control Panel, Printers Folder, My Computer Folder and Network Neighborhood.
Probe offers a highly customizable multi-window interface that provides integrated management of compressed archives, including ZIP, CAB, ACE, RAR, JAR, ARJ, TAR, and GZ formats. Archived files can be accessed, browsed, copied, and moved between compressed archives, just as files are handled in ordinary subfolders.
The integrated FTP client allows multiple simultaneous connections, server-to-server transfers, file filters, and resumed uploads and downloads.
Probe also offers a range of navigation tools, advanced file searching, processing of files with batch commands, and integration with the DOS command line.
