Overview
allows you to create a morphological dictionary for any language.
In depth
Morphi also provides an algorithm for word synthesis, according to word properties, and symbolic language for implementation of morphological rules.
The Morphi generator was written in Delphi, with a multi-table local database. It uses a "procedurial" approach to morphology, as opposed to a "thing" approach, where affixes are treated as morphemes.
Features of Morphi include: multi-language support; support for defining language structure; linguistic error checks; support for building a morphological dictionary; the ability to define morpheme changes, including supra-segmental changes; the ability to define phonemes; and reports. Morphi also provides a symbolic language with convenient graphical user interface for defining concatenation rules, conditions and expressions.
Verdict
Morphi runs on Windows 95/98/Me and is available under the 30-day Trial license — the installer is 7 MB. We’ve catalogued it under Languages.
