What is KanjiCan?

is a kanji learning software tool based on the premise that kanji can be memorized by creating a "story" based on the elements of the kanji.

In depth

A closer look at KanjiCan

Stories for over 2000 Kanji are provided. Additonal stories are provided to help memorize the ON readings. It also includes a customizable flashcard module, allowing you to tailor the flashcard displays and timing sequences to your taste. Choose from one of eight well-known numbering schemes for the default ordering sequence. A sophisticated routine allows you to search for a kanji by pronunciation, reference number, Heisig Keyword, or a group of one to four search strings occuring within the stories.

It also includes "Kanjidic", which provide cross-references to all major kanji numbering systems, along with readings and meanings.
