Overview

What is iWare?

lets you shop, launch Web sites, and conduct Internet searches.

In depth

A closer look at iWare

iWare contains some useful Internet resources, but you must give up a solid half-inch slice of desktop and put up with a lot of advertising in exchange.

Click the iSearch button on the toolbar to launch Web searches. There's no advanced search feature, but iWare uses up to five search engines simultaneously and displays a well-presented collection of results.

Click the iShop button to explore a categorized collection of shopping links.

Click the iChoose button to browse through information and resource links. It's a fine selection of links but there's no way to add your own or delete unwanted links.

To the right of the iSearch button are Touch Tiles--buttons providing single-click access to your favorite 10 sites. Five of the Touch Tiles come pre-configured, but you can replace those tiles as well as adding new ones. The rest of the iWare toolbar is dedicated to advertising, and there's more advertising in the iShop and iChoose displays.
