Gigabyte Express listens for incoming connections on TCP port 167. The session uses an ephemeral TCP port in the range from 1024 to 5000 to connect with port 167. This first connection lasts just long enough for the answering station to give the dialing station an ephemeral port to call in on. The dialing station then establishes a TCP connection from its next ephemeral port to the port the answering station gave. The remainder of the traffic is between these ephemeral ports.

Gigabyte Express must be installed on both the sending and receiving computers.
